An agile outside back, Winitana made his first grade debut for the Bulldogs against Brisbane and became the 687th first grade player at the club.

Tim was graded at the Bulldogs from the Berala Bears in 2004 and made his club debut against Balmain on May 22.

After starting season 2007 in Jersey Flegg, Winitana got a late call up for the Bulldogs Premier League team against Cronulla after playing in the Flegg match just two days earlier.

He played a further two matches in Premier League before receiving the opportunity to play first grade against the Broncos in round 14 after regular centre Willie Tonga was dropped for disciplinary reasons.
