Greg Brown played 19 games for Newtown in 1983 as a halfback.

Greg joined Canterbury in 1984 and received the opportunity to play first grade against South Sydney as a replacement. He was a regular member of the reserve grade team.

In 1985, Greg joined Western Suburbs to play in the lower grades.
