Ryan Matterson

Ryan Matterson featured for a number of junior representative sides (including the NSW U/20's and Junior Kangaroos in 2014) before signing a contract with the Sydney Roosters ahead of the 2016 season.

Matterson would make his NRL debut against the Dragons in Round 8 of that year — scoring a try on debut — and was soon selected for his senior representative debut as he helped City to a 44-30 win over Country.

The versatile forward would play out of position in the match, but still scored a try and set up another in his side's victory.

He would play a further 15 matches for the Roosters that season as he established himself as a regular in the back row.

Playing 23 and 22 games respectively over the next two years, Matterson would help the Tricolours clinch the 2018 Telstra Premiership — ending his time at Easts with 10 tries from his 60 appearances.
