Mal Creevey

Mal Creevey joined Canterbury in 1975 as a halfback.

Mal was a regular member of the Under 23s and played in the Preliminary Final against Balmain.

In 1976, Mal started the season in the Under 23s but by mid-season had become a regular member of the reserve grade team.

Mal received his opportunity in first grade against Newtown when Phil Young was relegated.

Mal was relegated back to Under 23s late in the season to play in the Grand Final against Easts (Roosters).

In 1977, Mal became a regular member of the reserve grade team, a position that he held for the next four seasons and in 1979, Mal played in the Grand Final against Parramatta.
