David Thompson

David Thompson joined Canterbury in 1997 as a prop forward.

David was a regular member of the Under 19 team and played in the Preliminary Final against Penrith.

In 1998, David started the season in reserve grade and received the opportunity to play in the NRL against South Sydney when Simon Gillies was relegated. He became a regular interchange player and played in the Grand Final against Brisbane.

In 1999, David started the season in reserve grade and became a regular member of the team. He played in the Semi-Final against Canberra.

In 2000, David continued in the 1st Division and played in the Premiership winning team against Penrith.


In 2001 he was a regular member of the 1st Division team and in 2002, David joined North Queensland to play 27 games from 2002 to 2003.

In 2004, David joined South Sydney to play 15 games that season.

In 2005, David joined Cronulla to play in the Premier League and in 2006, joined Penrith to play in the Premier League.

In 2007, David has joined Chester Hill for their inaugural season in the Jim Beam Cup.
